    • This brief account does not include the importance of the growing number of Chinese sociologists and anthropologists currently overseas in the United States and Europe, some of whom attended a 2006 conference at Dickenson College on affirmative action policies for ethnie minorities in China and the United States, including Naran Bilik (Mongol, Pan Jiao (Yi, Zhou Minglang Han, and others. Moreover, Tibetan anthropologists such as Gelek, Benjor, and Palden Nyima have also been conducting fieldwork studies of Tibetan education
