11. The sponge specimens were collected as part of a collaboration between M. Davies-Coleman and D. J. Faulkner and transferred under contract to the Pfizer research laboratories in St. Louis. When Pfizer disbanded its natural products program, they generously donated their marine invertebrate collection to Andersen's group at UBC.
