    • In favourable cases, the different dipolar couplings involved may be determined using Θ-REDOR, proposed by Gullion (T. Gullion, C.H. Pennington; Chem. Phys. Lett. 290 (1998) 88) in combination with the REDOR transform procedure suggested by Mueller [5,6]. In Θ-REDOR, a variation of the original REDOR theme, the dephasing π-pulses (I-spins) are replaced by short tip angle pulses which lead to an inversion of only a small fraction of the I spins coupled to the observe nucleus (S-spins).
