    • The policy was researched and written by Terry Cook, who wishes to acknowledge the useful comments and inputs of his National Archives’ colleagues at that time: Eldon Frost, Jerry O’Brien, Nancy McMahon, and Doug Taylor-Munro. This policy was approved by the National Archivist of Canada in November 1993, and has been invoked by archivists in several appraisal and records disposition agreements negotiated with departments since then.
