    • In the case of hybrid excitons for a system of two parallel wires (see paper by Yudson V. I., Reineker P. and Agranovich V. M., this issue p. 1797 and also Phys. Rev. B, 52 1995) R5543, the interwire coupling remains large even for a 1D-exciton wave vector Q≈0, in which case a direct coupling with light is possible; an extension of the approach considered above would be required to study the interplay between the optical non-linearities and the polaritonic effects.
