In the paramagnetic phase, Si Sj is primarily spin diffusion [for three-dimensional (3D) systems] and is defined by a temperature-dependent correlation length. In the critical regime, it is defined by scaling functions. Well into the ordered phase, the spin-spin correlation function describes spin waves.
