The sequence consists of two π/2 pulses, separated by a variable delay τ; acquisition of the free induction signal was started after the second pulse. A series of two-pulse spectra with variable delay τ was recorded, and a plot was made of the peak amplitude versus τ. Subsequently, the spin-lattice relaxation time was determined by means of the least-squares method.
