    • When the homocuprate is prepared from BuLi and a CuBr-LiI complex, the same result is obtained. When the homocuprate is prepared from BuLi and CuBr, proton abstraction occurs only. No influence of LiBr on the conversions is observed when diethyl ether is used as a solvent.
