24. 2 were added simultaneously dropwise to the reaction mixture over 10 min. The mixture was stirred at -78 °C for 30 min and then warmed to room temperature and stirred for 10 min. The resulting solution was filtered through a short plug of silica gel, solvent was removed on rotary evaporator without heating and the residue was triturated with 15 mL of diethyl ether. If no crystallization occurred, the crude product was purified by column chromatography (silica gel, ethyl acetate/hexane 1:1). Recrystallization of the product from methanol was necessary in some cases.
