28. To determine the initial decay rate (Γ), A was allowed as a parameter, due to the possibility of fast self relaxations of the ions. These prefactors are between 0.90 and 0.94, the solid lines represent the quality of the fit to the data shown in Fig. 3. Fixing A to unity does not change any of the trends of the results.
