2O (3.08 g, 10 mmol) was dissolved in methanol (50 mL) to form a clear solution. This solution was then added to a methanol solution prepared by dissolving 3-fluorothiophenol (2.56 g, 20 mmol) and triethylamine (2.02 g, 20 mmol) in 50 mL of methanol. The mixture was stirred for 2 h at room temperature. The resulting white precipitate was filtered, washed with methanol, then dissolved in DMF, and layered by methanol. After 4-6 weeks, cubic crystals were harvested.
