    • Polyandrous, sperm-storing females: Carriers of male genotypes through episodes of adverse selection
    • This work forms part of Penelope Haddrill's PhD thesis, examining the mating system of two-spot ladybirds, with particular emphasis on female multiple mating. David Shuker is a NERC Advanced Research Fellow at the University of Edinburgh studying the evolutionary ecology of insect reproductive behaviour. Bill Amos has a long standing interest in the realisation of mating behaviour, but usually in larger species such as marine mammals. Mike Majerus is an evolutionary geneticist, focusing mainly on sexual strategies, sex ratio biases, melanism and invasive species in the Lepidoptera and ladybirds. Sean Mayes is a molecular geneticist and has been interested in population structure and genome evolution for a number of years, although more usually in crop plants than in insects.
