Clin Exp Allergy 2007; 37:1009-1022. This article investigates the effect of PAR-2 stimulation on the release of pro-inflammatory cytokines and the signaling mechanisms involved. The aticle demonstrates increased PAR-2 expression in CRSsNP, CRSwNP and acute rhinosinusitis specimens versus controls and demonstrates active PAR in primary nasal epithelial cell culture.
