    • According to nearest neighbor thermodynamics, the predicted melting temperature for the DNA sequence used in our experiment was 327 K in a 20 mM NaCl aqueous solution. Increasing the temperature at T, 327 K does not disrupt the streptavidin-biotin bond, which remains stable at temperatures higher than 350 K. See ref 16
