    • One of the referees pointed out that the anodic photocurrent induced by visible light in the presence of sensitizer and under background UV illumination may be due to the reaction of the valence band holes with the excited dye. However this is unlikely to happen due to the presence of iodide in the electrolyte acting as efficient hole scavenger.
