There are other multiterminal devices in which a thermo-emf effect can develop at a junction between a superconductor and a normal-metal electrode (Refs. 8 and 9) This thermo-emf is unrelated to, and should not be confused with, the negligible thermoelectric effect in the point-contact two-terminal devices we discuss.
