Finally, in the same experimental paper mentioned in this footnote, it was also argued that the "high-frequency Fermi velocity" diverges as 1/x, as the doping x→0. This is not a very meaningful statement, as at higher energies there are no quasiparticles to speak of in the ARPES spectra.
