    • Recently, Matsuoka and Grobe [Phys. Rev. Lett. 91, 130405 (2003)] developed a novel approach to calculate the transmission coefficient form zero-boundary conditions as well. Our method can be used as an alternative approach. However, in our case the method can be clearly applied to any potential while potentials considered in their work were restricted to possess an inversion symmetry.
