    • Typically the filling factor N is not homogeneous, because the Gaussian intensity profile of the laser beams results in an additional weak harmonic confinement of the atoms. However, it has been demonstrated that commensurate filling (at the cost of empty sites) can be achieved using an entanglement interferometer [12].
