While other sources of voltage have been proposed [see L. Berger, Phys. Rev. B 54, 9353 (1996)], previous work using GMR to sense time-varying magnetization motion indicates that GMR is the dominant source of ac or dc impedance change in spin-valve devices. For example, see Refs. 1 and 3. The measurement geometry makes inductive coupling between the device and waveguide negligible.
