29. c for Pt LC's compares very well with the FR value of 3.40 eV that we get using VASP, a pseudopotential method. Furthermore, experimental realization of It and Pt LC's is in line with our results.

34. The SR calculations of Ref. 16 predict magnetic state for Pt LC's when stretched quite far from equilibrium distance, and no magnetic state for Pd NW's. The full-potential FR calculations of Ref. 18 are in consonance with ours.
