    • We have found that our results are relatively insensitive to different boundary conditions provided that the wire thickness in greater than ∼20 nm.

    • We use the frequency of the longitudinal rather than transverse optical mode. This gives an overall better agreement over the Brillouin zone. The results only change by less than a few percent if the TO frequency is used instead.
