    • Following the bombings in the USA in 2001, African leaders met in Senegal in October that year to reflect on the dangers posed by terrorism to the continent. It is worthy to note that there is an African Convention against terrorism signed in Algiers on 14 July, 1999. This document has been ratified by 36 states.
