20. Using typical values for B and K [8] in the Sm-A phase, one can calculate [1,2] the bulk value of a for an 8 and 80 layer film, resulting in 0.16 and 0.24 nm, respectively. These values are smaller than the observed ones in the middle of the film (Fig. 3). This probably means that the values of B and/or K used must be reconsidered.
