    • It is worthwhile noting that the precision of our values obtained for the depth and roughness in the z direction with the SFM may not be so accurate, due to calibration with a standard with steps of 180 nm. The Nanoscope III D scanner is known to have lower precision at the smallest depth ranges. Despite the lack of absolute precision, the relative values of the roughness are sound.
