    • F. H. Hammond, ASTM Spec. Tech. Publ., 360, 123 (1964). Although the standard experiment of probe tack, as defined by the ASTM measures a force, one can wonder if the energy of debonding would not be a more relevant parameter than the maximum force necessary to debond. Still, when comparing different adhesives, both maximum force and dissipated energy measurements give similar relative results as long as the debonding mechanisms are the same.
