50. Since, in this case, individual electrons do not change their spin projection, no exchange processes occur during collisions. This allows us to treat the electrons with opposite spin projection as distinguishable particles and to neglect exchange contributions to the pair potentials. In contrast, in the scattering of two electrons with the same spin projection, exchange does take place, which is taken into account by the potential (14). For a discussion of this question, see C.
