Physical measurements: Infrared spectra were recorded on JASCO FT/IR-480 plus spectrometer as KBr pellets. Electronic spectra were recorded using Agilent 8453 HP diode UV-vis spectrophotometer. Elemental analysis was performed at the Atlantic Microlaboratory (Norcross, Georgia USA). Magnetic susceptibility measurements (2-300 K) and magnetization measurements in the field range of 0.4-1 T were performed with a Quantum Design MPMS-XL SQUID magnetometer at the Magnetochemistry Service of the University of Barcelona. All measurements were performed on polycrystalline samples. Data were corrected for the magnetization of the sample holder and for diamagnetic contributions, which were estimated from Pascal's constants.
