19. Note that long-range order is destroyed by quantum fluctuations even at zero temperature in one spatial dimension. However, we use here the usual terminology in lattice models, and choose the term “ superfluid phase†for the quantum phase U< Uc of the Bose-Hubbard model. This phase does not show long-range order, but algebraic decay of the phase correlations.
