Greenfield DS, Liebmann JM, Ritch R, Krupin T, et al. Visual field and intraocular pressure asymmetry in the Low-Pressure Glaucoma Treatment Study. Ophthalmology 2007; 114:460-465. The Low-Pressure Glaucoma Treatment Study, which randomizes NTGpatients into treatment with either brimonidine tartrate 0.2% or timolol maleate 0.5%, may shed light on the relative merits of the two drugs in this population, and is also providing a better understanding of the disorder and its response to IOP-lowering therapy.
