Blood 2005; 105:1891-1897. Infusional chemotherapy with rituximab was associated with an excellent outcome. Increased bacterial infections were not noted. This was one of the first regimens to include rituximab.

In this single institution study, Krishnan et al. included patients in complete response at high-risk for relapse. These investigators conclude that HIV should be likened to a chronic illness and that selection criteria for transplant should be similar to those used for lymphoma patients without HIV.
