    • Although photocatalysis of 1-CN which was produced in the photoreaction of fac-[Re(bpy)(CO)3(4-cyanopyridine, with TEOA under a CO2 atmosphere has been reported, it is clear that very pure 1-CN has no photocatalytic activity.
