The (e,e+ion) spectral intensities were corrected (<2% correction) using known absolute dipole photoabsorption cross sections for H2 and D2 [W.F. Chan, Chem. Phys. 168, 375 (1992)] since the 4°, 2 keV impact energy scattering condition is close to the dipole limit.
