11. LiH was considered too. Preliminary analysis via X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy of unprotected as-received LiH showed however that most of the sample surface (or even the whole surface) was covered with an oxygen compound of lithium.
12. In a few experiments we tried to eliminate the protective mineral oil from KH by cleaning in cyclohexane. The surfactant effect of the residual mineral oil did not disappear even after a few cleaning procedures.
