    • General procedure for the Synthesis of hydrazides (5a-e and 6a-e): The hydrazides were prepared by treating the appropriate cinnamic esters 2 g with the corresponding hydrazides (1.1 equiv) in pyridine (40 mL) under reflux. After 4-6 h, the excess of pyridine was removed under vacuum and water (20 mL) was added. The precipitate was filtered under vacuum and washed with water to furnish corresponding hydrazides in (78-85%) yield.
