    • W. Marx and M. Cardona, Phys. World 17, 14 (2004). In [1] two of us (Marx, Cardona) mentioned the Kohlrausch paper published in 1847 as the original stretched exponential function paper (without reference). Shortly after our article had appeared, one of us (Chamberlin) pointed out that we had referred to the wrong Kohlrausch paper. The present comment is the result of our subsequent investigations.
