33. The last two points in the figure are based on a combination of survey answers (on sources of knowledge) and information from the open interviews with entrepreneurs and with subcontractors. Because the classification relied on both quantitative and qualitative data, and in some cases the borders between the categories are not sharp, it is difficult to give a number of surveyed workers per category.
34. The minimum wage in Cebu at the time of the fieldwork was 195 Philippine Peso (=$3.75) for an eight-hour workday.
35. In interviews with subcontractors this was often mentioned as the main motivation for their joint efforts and easy transfer of skills.
