The World Bank was originally composed of one institution, the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development (IBRD). It now comprises five institutions, including the IBRD, International Development Association (IDA), International Finance Corporation (IFC), Multilateral Investment Guarantee Agency (MIGA), and International Center for the Settlement of Investment Disputes (ICSID).
