Though the diastereoisomers 1/2 or 3/4 can be separated by partial crystallization, this is not necessary, since in both cases the diastereoisomers show the same absorption and emission properties. Furthermore, the luminescence lifetimes of 1/2 or 3/4 can be fitted by single exponential decay functions in the whole temperature range 77-298 K.
