    • Since the end integrals do not contribute, one might ask at this point why not go to the upper t plane as for t prime. This is not possible, however, because for the t phase the axes of the saddle points t=(i / ω ) ~ arcsinh γ + m π / omega are perpendicular to the real axis and hence we would not be able to connect the saddle points through steepest-descent paths in our integration.
