The calculation of the Raman response for an anisotropic s-wave superconductor presented in Ref. shows an increase of about 10% of the energy of the pair breaking peak in B1g symmetry with Γ Δ= nimp (π NF) =0.2. With NF ∼1 eV-1, it corresponds to an impurity level of 2.5% per Cu O2 plane, that would lead to a decrease of Tc of about 25 K, i.e., almost 30% of the Tc for the pristine sample. In the case of YBCO, only a small s -wave component in the superconducting gap exists, the energy shift expected is thus marginal.
