    • We note, however, that if the coupling and feedback strengths are tuned such that the total injection (feedback+coupling) is equal for the two lasers, and if the feedback time is larger than the coupling delay, the emitter laser can anticipate the receiver (Ref. 10). This synchronization state is, nevertheless, much less common and more difficult to reach than the usual lag synchronization state (Refs. 16 17) discussed here.
