Since for these solutions lp ∼ I1/3, this gives a factor 51/3 ∼ 1.7 for lp. This is of the order of magnitude of the increase in height of the very short flat part (corresponding to the usual q 2S1(q) plateau of a Gaussian chain) observed in Figure 8; this increase is more visible under the form an intensity increase in the straight region of log-log plot of Figure 9.
