The vessel was closed and introduced to the rotor segment and then tightened using a torque wrench. The segment was inserted into the microwave cavity, and the temperature sensor was connected. The microwave program was run for 45 min. The rotor was cooled by air until the solution reached room temperature. The vessel was opened, and the solution was quantitatively transferred into a 50-mL volumetric flask.

The samples were then dried for 12 h at 105°C. Liver samples were thawed and rinsed with deionized water and dried for 12 h at 105°C. The liver and bone samples were then ashed (550°C for 4 h). Approximately 1 g of ash samples was then dissolved in 10 mL of 3M hydrochloric acid and boiled for 10 min. The samples were allowed to cool and filtered into a 100-mL flask. It was diluted to 100 mL with deionized water and analysed for Cu, Fe, Mn, and Zn.
