    • Ab initio calculations by Je-Luen Li and Roberto Car (Princeton University) showed that the stress - strain behaviors of graphene sheets and SWCNTs are very similar. The calculated Young's modulus is 1.01 TPa for graphene sheet and 0.94 - 0.96 TPa for SWCNT provided the same graphene sheet thickness (0.34 nm) is used.
