Disease ecology in the Galapagos hawk (Buteo galapagoensis): Host genetic diversity, parasite load and natural antibodies
-
J.O. conducted this work as part of his PhD project at the University of Castilla-La Mancha, Spain. His research focuses on genetic aspects of mating and dispersal and the importance of individual genetic diversity on disease susceptibility and different components of fitness. Now, J.M.A. is also interested in the relationship between heterozygosity and fitness in natural populations. G.C. studies the causes, consequences, and mechanisms of dispersal in the lesser kestrel as PhD student at the University of Castilla-La Mancha. P.J.C. is interested in the role of environment and genetic variation on evolution.
