    • In 1998 and 1999, WIPO undertook a series of fact-finding missions to 28 countries, interviewing some 3,000 holders and custodians of traditional knowledge and cultural expressions. The results of these missions has been published as Intellectual Property Needs and Expectations of Traditional Knowledge Holders, which is available from the WIPO Secretariat or at http://www.wipo.int/tk/en/tk/ffm/report/index.html/. Subsequently, round tables, further fact-finding missions and workshops involving community representatives have been and continue to be organized.
