    • Equation 1 is the ansatz. This time we do not know equations that provide such a solution. As known, the equations are the condition for conformal invariance of a two-dimensional σ model. Since α′/R2 is of order 1, one needs the exact beta functions of background fields (Weyl-anomaly coefficients) rather than their leading α′ expansions. This makes the problem extremely difficult. Instead of solving it, we follow "the inverse scattering problem": first, we suggest a solution, then we look for its phenomenological relevance.
