Flooding and ecosystem dynamics along the Tanana River

Lem Butler is currently area biologist in south-west Alaska for the Alaska Department of Fish & Game, working on moose, caribou and bear management. Knut Kielland is a research associate professor at the University of Alaska Fairbanks. His research interests are plant-animal interactions, biogeochemistry, plant physiology and wildlife ecology. Scott Rupp is an associate professor of forest sciences at the University of Alaska Fairbanks. His research focuses on the ecological modelling of fire and vegetation dynamics. Thomas Hanley is a research wildlife biologist and team leader for the USDA Forest Service, Pacific Northwest Research Station, Juneau, Alaska. His research interests are plant-animal interactions, the nutritional ecology of ruminants and the ecology of Alaskan floodplain ecosystems. Editor: Glen MacDonald
