Long-term follow-up of the corneal endothelium after artisan implantation for unilateral traumatic and unilateral congenital cataract in children: two case series. Cornea 2006; 25:1173-1177. This was a study of long-term corneal endothelial changes from the Artisan lens showing some endothelial loss, but more related to the initial eye trauma than from the lens itself.

Paediatr Anaesth 2006; 16:769-776. This describes an interesting survey of pediatric anesthesiologist on their practice patterns in anesthetic management of open eye injuries. Despite good scientific literature to support, most continue to avoid depolarizing anesthetic agents such as succinylcholine.
